I’m Jana Danielson.

My pain to purpose wellness journey took me from being on 11 medications daily at age 21, to being told by my Doctor that the pain was in my head and that I was seeking attention.

I hit rock bottom.

It was in the darkest moments of my life that I found the courage to figure things out on my own to learn to trust and love my body again. I moved from 'survive to thrive'!

I found Pilates and 4 months after my first Pilates Mat class I was off all 11 medications! I had no idea how 4 months of breathing, moving my spine, aligning and balancing my body could heal me when over 4 years of white coats and stethoscopes could not.My curiosity for how I healed myself through movement was piqued. I had no idea that this curiosity would lead me down a career path shift from the corporate world to one of wellness entrepreneurship.

I got certified as a Pilates Instructor and then as a Master Pilates Educator. I started to teach classes out of my home to friends and family and a short time later, left my corporate job to open my own Pilates Studio. Five years later, we expanded to a 9,000 square foot facility and added an Integrated Health Therapies clinic to the business model.

I grew that business for 12 years to a team of 60 clinicians, instructors and admin team members. During that time I developed the Cooch Ball, led Pilates retreats in Mexico, launched my online Pilates Studio and was planting the seeds for the Scooch Ball and Terrain Fitness which were born after I sold the studio and the clinic.

I took the strategies about our body, its systems and networks, our mind and its innate power and brought those two pillars of health into the mix with metabolic health and my new brand Bloom Better featuring Terrain Fitness was launched!

I am so excited to share the very strategies that I used for my own healing and for the past 30 years and build them into this Academy.
In the coming months, I will be introducing you to the IWA featured experts and leaders who will also have courses within the IWA ecosystem. They are amazing in their own right and I am so proud of the impact that we have the opportunity to make on you and the beating hearts in your communities!
